Vienna-listed property company Conwert Immobilien Invest SE has said it decisively rejects a criminal complaint of fraud filed by a German attorney on behalf of an anonymous client with the prosecutor in Munich. Noting that the complaint was reported in the media, Conwert said the matter had not been forwarded to the company.

Conwert also said allegations raised in media reports that the company had not provided its shareholders with information about the existing management contract were 'totally unfounded and completely untenable'. Conwert said the management contract with Conwert Management GmbH and the related compensation was disclosed in Conwert's stock exchange prospectuses and annual reports. 'This management contract was also presented to and approved by the annual general meeting, most recently in 2006.'

Similar accusations were raised in 2006 in an anonymous statement to Austria's Financial Market Authority. The regulator terminated the proceedings ' after extensive examination', the company said.

Conwert warned it would sue if necessary and claim compensation in the event the filing of the complaint caused damage to the company.
