Spanish real estate firm Conren Tramway has invested €50 mln in a new building in Barcelona, dedicated to luxury apartment rentals on a monthly basis.
Opening in January 2023, the Archie Living development is located above the Arc de Triomf metro station.
It offers 108 one- and two-bedroom upscale apartments with common facilities and services such as a heated swimming pool, sports activities, concierge, work spaces, meeting rooms and areas for parties and events.
The 10,500 m2 building is arranged over ground and six upper floors with a distribution of 18 apartments per floor.
The monthly fee ranges between €3,000 and €4,000, with weekly cleaning and utilities included.
The new development, operated by Signature Hotels, aims to attract international professionals working in Barcelona and digital nomads, who will be able to book apartments from 30 days to 11 months.
It also hopes to take advantage of the pull of the Americas Cup 2024, which requires the displacement of teams for several months.
During the construction phase, special metal pillars were incorporated to avoid the vibrations of the subway that passes directly underneath and to be able to rise above the pre-existing station.
As a result, the weight of the building is 50% less than that of a comparable building.
Ten minutes away from Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia and steps away from the historical city center and the beach, Archie Living was designed by architectural firm Alonso Balaguer Arquitectes Associats (ABAA) and features BREEAM certification.
