Markus Eismann has been appointed as managing director of Commerz Real Mobilienleasing as of 1 April.
Eismann succeeds Christoph Halstrick, who is retiring at the end of the year. In the interim period, he will remain at the firm as a strategic consultant for the handover of the position.
Christian Horf, board member of managing directors of Commerz Real, the parent company of Commerz Real Mobilienleasing, said:
'I would like to thank Christoph Halstrick for his extraordinary commitment and dedication over many years.
'In this fast-moving period we have successfully positioned ourselves on the market and in the Commerzbank Group on a sustainable basis as a leading manufacturer-independent leasing provider and as a reliant partner for Germany’s SME sector.'
Eismann has extensive experience both in the sales and back office areas. The business management graduate has worked in the leasing sector for more than 20 years now, ultimately as general manager sales and a member of the management board of MMV Bank / MMV Leasing.
Further milestones in his professional career include leading positions in the PEAC Finance Group and at UniCredit Leasing.
Said Eismann: 'I am very much looking forward to contributing with Commerz Real to the further growth of a leasing business that has successfully developed over the years. Sustainability, digitalisation and artificial intelligence are changing business models, creating fresh potential and specific financing needs for our clients.
'At the same time they harbour opportunities for innovation within our own client and product offerings. We intend to actively utilise these.'
The future management of Commerz Real Mobilienleasing will comprise Eismann, Jochen Welling and Oliver Golder.
Commerz Real Mobilienleasing finances machinery, commercial vehicles and other fixed assets, including renewable energy and data centre hardware. It manages leasing agreements with a total volume of about €5 bn.
