German property firm Commerz Real announced on Thursday that it has appointed Jens Böhnlein as global head of Asset Management after merging the office, industrial and shopping centre asset management divisions.
‘In the future there will primarily be mixed use of real estate and this will require a holistic management approach,’ said chief executive officer Andreas Muschter.
Böhnlein was previously Commerz Real’s global head of Office and Industrial.
The asset management division has also been expanded with the hire of Christian von Halasz as head of the new ‘Redevelopment and Technology’ department, which will play a central role in the implementation of the hybrid concepts.
He has been working in the real estate industry for 20 years. In his most recent positions he was a project developer at Groß & Partner and Immofinanz with responsibility for large-scale office complexes and neighbourhood developments.
Furthermore, from June 2020 Heike Beyer will join the firm as head the new department ‘Asset Management International’. Previously Beyer was head of leasing and marketing at GLL Real Estate Partners.
