CRFM is the Luxembourg-based investment management company of the real assets subsidiary of Commerzbank. Holz is succeeding Jan-Peter Müller, who had left the company at the end of 2021.
Holz has been asked to expand and develop the fund platform, both for institutional investors and for private investors.

There are plans to transform CRFM as of 1 May 2022 into a public limited company under Luxembourg legislation. Alongside Holz as the chairman, Detlef Koppenhagen and Arnd Ludwig will then be members of the board of Commerz Real Fund Management.

In addition, Klimavest, the ELTIF (European Long Term Investment Fund) managed by CRFM, and for whose portfolio management and financial accounting Holz is also responsible, will be developed into a flagship product in the renewable energies segment.

'Our Luxembourg-based company is of major significance for the further growth of Commerz Real,' said Henning Koch, CEP of Commerz Real. “Dirk Holz will have a major impact here with his many years of experience in the banking and investment sectors.”

Holz has a total of 20 years’ experience in the portfolio and product management of real asset investments. Most recently he was head of Private Capital Services at the RBC Investor & Treasury Services Bank of Royal Bank of Canada.

Other career milestones have included Societe Generale Securities Services and PGIM Prudential Investment Management, the asset management arm of the American life insurance company Prudential Financial.

The business administration graduate is in part already familiar with Commerz Real from his employment with the predecessor company Commerz Grundbesitz from 2003 to 2006.
