Colony Investment Management appears set to launch a European opportunistic real estate fund in the coming months after it emerged the company had hired a well-known investor relations professional.
Caroline James, a placement agent who worked for nine years at First Avenue Partners followed by three in the equity placement team at CBRE Capital Partners, has joined Colony Investment Management as in-house MD capital markets and investor relations.
The appointment is being taken by market participants as a clear signal the company is plotting an opportunistic fund in Europe given the opportunities unfolding.
The investment firm is led in Europe by Nadra Moussalem, with the main office being located in Paris.
