Colliers International has secured an exclusive leasing mandate from French fashion retailer IKKS under which it will help the firm open 30 stores in Germany and a similar number in the UK over the next five years.

The contract was secured at the Mapic retail fair in Cannes by Colliers’ Dutch retail team, which earlier assisted IKKS with its expansion in the Netherlands where it now has eight shops (two in The Hague, three in Amsterdam, one each in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Maastricht).

For IKKS’ German and UK expansion, the Dutch Colliers team will work together with its local counterparts.

Established in 1987, IKKS sells ladies’, men’s and children’s clothing in 450 shops worldwide and opens more than 80 shops a year. The retailer already has two stores in Germany - in Berlin and Cologne - and is currently looking at four new locations. It plans to actively scour the UK market from mid-2015.
