Colliers International has appointed equity placement expert, Meg Brown, to its capital advisory team as part of the company’s expanding fundraising consultancy.

Brown will join from JLL’s corporate finance department in the summer and will launch the equity placement group, a private placement platform responsible for placing equity for funds throughout commercial, residential and alternative real estate markets.

Her remit will encompass fund raising, joint venture partnership sourcing and structuring, club deals and buy side advisory services with a cross regional and global focus.

Prior to JLL, Brown co-ran the liquidation of legacy CMBS/NPL portfolios at CR Investment Management. She has also held positions within Barclays Capital, CBRE and LaSalle Investment Management.

Colliers’ capital advisory team was established in early 2014 and has expanded with recent appointments, including James Evans, Nicolai Dane and Matthew Beech - the latter having recently joined from JLL’s banking advisory service line.
