Colliers International has partnered with Georgian firm Dexus to establish the first international real estate services firm in the country.

Georgia is the second country in EMEA where Colliers has established a presence in the last 30 days, following its recent announcement that it now has operations in Morocco.

Commenting on the latest expansion, Chris McLernon, CEO of Colliers International EMEA, said: 'This means that we can offer clients a unique opportunity to expand their real estate portfolio in Georgia.

'It is a dynamic time in Georgia’s economic development with the country focused on tourism, real estate, agriculture and the energy sector. There are a lot of great opportunities for domestic and international investment and with our new partners, we already have an established track record of success.'

Based in the capital Tbilisi, Dexus is led by Irakli Kilauridze and offers a full range of advisory services. The firm comprises 15 specialised real estate advisors that sold 13 large-scale projects totalling over $200 mln in value and over 250,000 m2 in total size.

'Our firms fit together very well, both culturally and operationally,' Kilauridze noted. 'We share a highly focused attitude towards delivering exceptional customer service and value. By uniting our local expertise in Georgia with Collier’s broad service offering and global reach, we foresee significant opportunities to expand our client base and accelerate our growth.'
