The new department will consist of up to 12 senior real estate consultants, the broker said.

The creation of this new department in France follows Colliers' launch of an advisory department earlier in 2017, and the strengthening of the company's  asset management offer in 2016 with the acquisition of Icade Asset Management and Icade Conseil.

With over 20 years of experience in corporate real estate consulting, Xavier Mahieu began his career at Bourdais before joining CBRE Group. Mahieu has held strategic management positions, most notably at CBRE Global Investors between 2005 and 2009, before becoming a Global Key Account Manager. In 2016, he was appointed managing director of Ile-de-France Offices’ Agency and Tenant Rep.

'The creation of the agency department is consistent with the expansion of our offer for institutional clients and we look forward to further exceeding our client expectations going forward,' said Gilles Betthaeuser, CEO of Colliers International France.
