Global consultancy Colliers International has appointed Christian Kadel as new head of capital markets in Germany, as of 1 September.
Matthias Leube, CEO of Colliers and current head of capital markets, said Kadel's appointment would enable him to 'sharpen his focus' on managing strategic client relationships and expanding the business in Germany.
Kadel joins Colliers from Eastdil Secured, where he was managing director with responsibility for growing the company in Germany.
Eastdil's parent company, US lender Wells Fargo, is believed to be considering the sale of the real estate brokerage and investment bank after 20 years of ownership.
Earlier this year, a number of Eastdil executives in the US were reported to have left the business to join other firms. The company is present in the UK and Germany in Europe, 11 states in the US, as well as Hong Kong and Tokyo in Asia.
Kadel's previous experience includes a spell at JLL, where he was regional director and head of the Frankfurt office investment team.
