'From the moment we launched in October last year, Colliers’ City offices team has been going from strength to strength as the market responds positively to our fresh approach to doing business,' said Stuart Commins, director, City occupier acquisitions & advisory, Colliers International.

Cooney joins Colliers from Farebrother & Union Street Partners, where for the past three years, he has provided strategic property advice to niche and corporate occupier clients, specialising in office acquisitions; lease re-gears; renewals; disposals and assisting in the project management of office fit-outs, in the Central London, Midtown and South Bank markets.

'The City is renowned for its tenacity and dynamism across the world and yet few property advisors seem able to measure up to those standards. Colliers’ City office team is breaking the mould and I look forward to joining the team as it further embarks upon its ambitious growth strategy, providing clients with market leading advice,' said Cooney.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Cooney began his career in property at Hodges Real Estate, working in a number of disciplines whilst studying for a Bachelor of Business, Management & Marketing at Monash University. He later moved to Axis Property in 2012, as a sales and leasing consultant, before moving to the UK in 2015.
