Ilinca Paun, the current managing partner, who has run the company since 2010, will remain a member of the board in Romania and will be further involved in developing the company's Romanian strategy.

At the same time, Paun will continue her involvement in the education sector, taking over the position of CEO at Entrepreneurship Academy, where she has been a teacher since 2015.

'Laurentiu has already made an important contribution to the company, bringing impeccable real estate credentials, broad experience and fresh perspectives,' commented Chris McLernon, CEO EMEA at Colliers International. 'In his new role, he will build on an already established and successful business and will help the team to create an exciting future.'

In his new role, Lazar will be in charge of business administration in Romania, as well as working with department heads to meet their financial targets.

'Our business in Romania has transformed since it began 21 years ago and I am confident that 2018 will be memorable from a business growth point of view,' Lazar said. 'We have ambitious plans to diversify the services we offer to our clients, to ensure that we become the advisor of choice in this market. We also want to work hard to become the employer of choice for talented real estate professionals.'
