Colliers International Russia has hired six new retail experts for its existing 20-strong retail team. The announcement follows hard on the heels of a series of personnel changes at the leading brokerage firms in Moscow and the loss of Colliers' team to rival Jones Lang LaSalle.
Earlier this week, JLL announced it had recruited a team of 25 retail experts from Colliers International in Moscow to strengthen its own Russian retail team. That move followed the news that Cushman & Wakefield has hired a nine-strong retail team in Moscow previously employed with Jones Lang LaSalle.
In the latest string of appointments, Mikhail Sverdlov, previously a director at Cushman & Wakefield, will join Colliers International as director of retail agency in Moscow. At Cushman & Wakefield he managed the shopping centre leasing process, working with both landlords and tenants, throughout Russia and also worked with developers such as Crocus Group, Regional Investments, Dekmos, MDS Group.
Vladislav Nikolaev, who will become Colliers’ head of retail consulting, joins from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was also head of retail consulting in St Petersburg.
They will be joined by Viktor Rozenberg, associate director of retail agency; Vasilisa Sitnikova, senior consultant retail agency; Boris Matsa, consultant retail agency; Dina Galovich, senior consultant for retail research and concept development. All the new recruits are joining from Cushman & Wakefield.
'The Russian retail market has come a long way over the last 5-10 years and is now established as one of the pre-eminent retail destinations in Europe for developers, investors, retailers and of course, consumers,' said Hadley Dean, managing partner of Colliers International Eastern Europe. 'Our latest restructuring of the retail division has been made to fully reflect these changes and will put us in a leading position to take full advantage of this growing sector in Russia, both on behalf of our clients and our business.'
