Claus-Jürgen Cohausz has been appointed chairman of German property lender Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank (Westimmo) with effect from 27 April this year. Cohausz succeeds Peter Knopp who will leave the bank, according to Westimmo, 'in order to take up new challenges'.

Cohausz has been a member of the board since 2006. In addition to the origination units, he will also be responsible for the central administrative departments, treasury and portfolio and exit management in his new role.

The bank's supervisory board has also appointed Christiane Wolff as a new member of the three-strong management board team from 16 March. Wolff began her professional career in 1993 at Westimmo's owner, WestLB, where she held various managerial positions, including head of risk policies and services and strategic CRM projects. In 2006 she joined the management board of Readybank.
