Cofinimmo also revealed that it acquired the nursing homes Residence du Parc and Famisenior in the Belgian towns of Nivelles and Lodelinsart for a total of EUR 10.9 mln in late November 2008. The gross rental yield stands at 6.34%.
During an extraordinary general meeting on 21 January this year Cofinimmo's shareholders voted in favour of the merger by absorption of nine subsidiaries. The move is designed to simplify the structure of the Cofinimmo Group and to allow transfer of the assets held by the subsidiaries to the SICAFI tax regime.
