Listed Belgian property company Cofinimmo has acquired 13 healthcare assets in the Netherlands for a gross amount of €71.9 mln.

The deal reflects an initial gross yield of 7.46%.

The assets were acquired from Green Real Estate, part of the Zeeman family business group, and boost the value of Cofinimmo’s Dutch healthcare portfolio to €90 mln.

The purchase is expected to be finalised by the end of the year.

Eight of the assets are already in operation, while five are construction projects. The necessary permits for the five construction projects have been, or are in the course of being, delivered.

The buildings comprise a total 36,500m2 and are leased for an average period of 15 years under ‘double net’ contracts to 11 different private or non-profit operators, specialising in geriatrics, psychiatry and care of disabled people. The rent will be indexed annually based on the consumer price index.
