Clarion Partners Europe, the real estate investment fund manager specialising in European logistics and industrial assets, has appointed Jasper Petit to the newly created role of chief strategy officer, effective immediately.
He brings nearly 20 years of pan-European real estate experience, the last ten of which have been at Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors, a longstanding LP partner of the company.
Petit will be based out of Clarion Partner Europe’s newly opened Amsterdam office. Alongside CEO Alistair Calvert, he will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the company, across both new and existing product and business lines.
Petit held a number of senior roles at Bouwinvest, most recently as director of European investments, where he grew the European commercial real estate platform AUM from €1.1 bn to €1.9 bn across the logistics, residential, data centre and hospitality sectors, including both listed and non-listed real estate.
Amsterdam will be Clarion Partners Europe’s fifth office in Europe, after London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid.
Said Calvert: 'Jasper’s track record growing the European platform at one of our long-standing investment partners gives him a unique perspective as we continue evolving the business.
'His through-the-cycle experience and deep understanding of the European logistics and residential sectors in particular, including current drivers of occupational and investor sentiment, will be a huge asset as we move into the second half of the decade.'
Added Petit: 'Clarion Partners Europe has been one of the dominant players in the European logistics sector for well over a decade. As the market opens up into 2025, this is a hugely exciting time to be joining a company in growth mode, working alongside Alistair to ensure total alignment across the company’s stakeholders.'
