International hotel property adviser, Christie & Co has appointed Edgar Ollé as managing director of Spain and Portugal, based in Barcelona.
Ollé's objective will be to continue to grow the transactional and consultancy activities across the region, where the company is very well positioned with a strong and experienced team.
Ollé was previously an executive director at Marriott International and boasts a strong network of investors and owners, both locally and internationally.
Darren Bond, global managing director of Christie & Co said: 'We are delighted to welcome Edgar to the business. He brings significant experience to our team, and we look forward to further growing our activity in Spain and Portugal.
'Edgar replaces Inma Ranera, who recently left Christie & Co after 21 years as managing director. Inma helped to establish our business in the Spain and Portugal region and I would like to thank her for all of her contribution over this period.'
Said Edgar: 'I have been working with Christie & Co for the last 10 years in several different roles, and when the opportunity to lead the Spanish and Portuguese company was given to me, I couldn’t refuse, as I know most of the team and how committed they are to the company.
'The market is in a very interesting cycle and recovery is around the corner. Everyday there is more activity and I believe it is the right time to join a company which has more than 85 years of experience. Due to the busy market, we will be looking to add new members to the team to grow both the transactional and consultancy business lines.'
