Christie + Co, acting on behalf of Hotel Procurement Ltd, is offering for sale the freehold of a hotel development site in a prominent location in Swindon. Detailed planning permission has been granted for a 102 en suite-bedroom hotel to be developed at the Swindon Gateway Leisure Park, which is situated in a prominent position four miles from the town's centre on the A419.
The completed hotel, which will sit adjacent to Motorola's UK headquarters, will stand next to a Harvester-branded pub/restaurant that national pub group Mitchells & Butlers plans to open this September. The leisure park also features a David Lloyd Health & Leisure Club.
The proposed 102-bedroom limited service hotel, which will be spread over three floors, will also include an open-plan reception, lounge, dining area, a meeting room with capacity for 30 and two syndicate rooms.
The hotel and Harvester site extends to 1.95 acres and will provide a total of 115 car parking spaces, with 75 dedicated to hotel use.
Jonathan Parrish, Director & Head of Investment at Christie + Co, said: 'This is a high-profile, roadside position, which will serve a busy transient market as well as being a benefit to local commercial users. The hotel will provide quality modern facilities with on-site parking.'
