China Merchants Bank, China’s sixth largest bank by asset value, has preleased 100% of the Royal20 office building under construction in the city of Luxembourg.
Leasinvest Real Estate, which brokered the 10-year lease via its subsidiary Leasinvest Immo Lux, said the building will serve as the Luxembourg branch of China Merchants Bank, which will pay an annual rent of €3 mln.
Designed by French architecture firm Agences Elisabeth & Christian de Portzamparc, Royal20, located on Boulevard Royal, will comprise around 5,000 m² of office space. The building is scheduled for completion in spring 2016.
Leasinvest CEO Jean-Louis Appelmans commented: ‘The strong interest for the building Royal20 from different qualitative prospective tenants and the conclusion of this pre-letting agreement confirm the prestige and the top location of this unique building in the city centre of Luxembourg.’
