Kranhaus1 in Cologne, Germany won the Mipim award for business centre category while Les Ecuries de la Chasse Royale in Brussels, Belgium was the winner of Mipim award for refurbished office buildings.
Mountain Dwellings in Copenhagen, Denmark is the winner of this year's residential development award while Phoenix Island Villa Condo & Club House in Seogwipo-si, South Korea won the award for the best hotel and tourism resort.
The special award of the jury was attributed to Highbury Square in London. For the first time this year, the jury also attributed a special recognition to earthquake proof sustainable housing in Bagh and Jareed, Pakistan,
The Jury was headed by Peter Goodacre, president RICS (UK) and included Bärbel Schomberg, CEO Degi; Peter Cole, chairman, UK Business Hammerson; Michael Griffiths, owner MRG Consultants; Martin Hayter, president Hayter International; Jan Kas, president European CZ; Kaspar Kraemer, owner Kaspar Kraemer Architekten; and Werner Welter, property consultant Werner Welter.
