Cepif stays on the ball for Euro 2012

The 2008 edition of the Cepif property and investment fair for the Central and Eastern European region will feature special events to increase its appeal for both residential and commercial developers, and for everyone with an interest in the Euro 2012 football finals, the organisers of Cepif say.

The 4th edition of the event in early June this year confirmed Cepif as one of the most important property fairs on the European calendar. The organisers intend to continue to build on this success.

As Poland and Ukraine are to co-host Euro 2012, Cepif will focus over the next five years on being 'at the forefront of exploring and explaining what the opportunities are' for the real estate sector. Cepif 2007 was the first international property fair to organise talks on the sports extravaganza, and featured a special Euro 2012 exhibition stand. One of the two days of the Cepif conference was also dedicated to the theme under the title 'the road to Euro 2012'.

Cepif organiser Richard Stephens said earlier this year that the conference is attracting more and more attendees every year as it caters for the real need within the real estate sector for a forum that focuses exclusively on the CEE region.

This year's event at the Expo 21 Centre in Warsaw attracted 3,671 participants from 809 companies, including big players such as Cushman & Wakefield, DTZ, Eurohypo and Trigrannit Development Corporation. A total of 28 countries were represented at the fair.

Top real estate executives in the CEE contributed to a series of 'stimulating and broad-ranging panel discussions' at Cepif 2007, ranging from benchmarking to property management and the real estate market in the CEE region. Seminars were also introduced for the first time to explore different sectors, topics and countries in closer detail.
