French financial group Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) has confirmed that it is in negotiations to acquire insurer Groupama's 44% stake in Paris-listed real estate investment trust Silic.
French financial group Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) has confirmed that it is in negotiations to acquire insurer Groupama's 44% stake in Paris-listed real estate investment trust Silic.
Although an agreement has not been reached yet, CDC said the purchase would take the form of a share swap with its real estate arm, Icade. Financial details were not disclosed.
The talks were first reported by French publication l'Agefi last week.
Silic, with a market capitalisation of EUR 1.3 bn, is a developer-owner of offices and owns a commercial portfolio valued at EUR 3.5 bn in the Greater Paris region.
