CBRE Global Investors has appointed Michael Clarke as its head of investor services for the EMEA region.

CBRE Global Investors has appointed Michael Clarke as its head of investor services for the EMEA region.

He will be responsible for investor relations, equity raising, targeting new investors and supporting the creation of successful investment strategies in the EMEA region.

Clarke, who will also be a member of the EMEA management board, will be based in London when he takes up the role in late March.

He has 26 years’ experience in global real estate and joins from Mesirow Financial, where he was senior managing director and head of European real estate for the past three years. In this role, he focused on investing mainly US capital for its global opportunistic multi-manager programme in Europe and Asia.

Prior to this, he spent 18 years at Schroders where he was instrumental in growing assets under management from £160 mln to over £8 bn through the development of a multi-product real estate strategy. He held various investment roles until 2003 when he was appointed head of property distribution responsible for product strategy, product development, equity raising and client service.
