Sarah Livingston has been appointed as an executive director in CBRE’s healthcare team, part of its operational real estate (OPRE) offering, and James Dunmore will take up the role of senior director leading the public sector healthcare team.

Livingston joined CBRE earlier in September from specialist healthcare provider Elysium Healthcare, now part of Ramsay Healthcare, where she was the commercial director and sat on the board of the company. Whilst at Elysium, she was responsible for overseeing and executing the growth strategy of the business, completing a significant number of M&A deals in the last five years and overseeing the property development activities of the group.

Prior to her role at Elysium, Livingston, who is a qualified lawyer, held the position of legal director at Partnerships in Care, a provider of mental health and social care services.

Tom Morgan, head of CBRE’s UK healthcare team, said: 'We are exceptionally pleased to have someone of Sarah’s calibre joining our team. Her wealth of experience across commercial operations, M&A and private equity as well as her relationships within the NHS, will be a major asset to our new and existing clients.'

Livingston added: 'I am excited to join CBRE and look forward to working with the team to grow its strategic advisory business, targeting opportunities to create Investment Property mandates and extending the firm’s advisory offer to investors already invested in the healthcare real estate market, as well as those actively considering opportunities.'

Dunmore also joined CBRE this month from Reit Assura, where he was head of business development and member of the executive committee. At Assura, he led the strategic review and segmentation of the property portfolio and was responsible for developing and executing Assura’s strategy of entering new healthcare markets, and establishing strategic property partnerships and joint ventures.

Prior to his role at Assura, Dunmore supported Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership and other public sector health economies on estates strategies, business cases, commercial partnerships, and infrastructure funding options.

Said Dunmore: 'I am really excited about working with the CBRE team to co-create sustainable exciting real estate solutions that respond to the challenges and opportunities faced by NHS Trusts and their partners in delivering the ambitions of the long-term plan.

'I look forward to harnessing the depth of the firm’s real estate insight to support service transformation and as a passionate advocate of the strength of partnerships, to understand and respond to the real estate needs of the diversity of collaborations and partnerships that are currently being formed.'
