Portugal’s FVC Group has awarded to CBRE the management of the new World Trade Center (WTC) Lisboa in Oeiras Valley.
Construction work should be completed in Q3 2022 and companies such as Worten, Bayer and Helm are already confirmed as tenants.
The project consists of 25,000 m2 of offices with a capacity of 3,000 users, in addition to 4,000 m2 of retail services, including a Continente supermarket, a pharmacy and a clinic.
There will be an additional 10,000 m2 of outdoor space for work, sports and leisure.
Frederico Mondril, director of property management for the offices and logistics areas of CBRE Portugal, said: ‘The management of the WTC is a great source of pride for CBRE. Being able to add this asset to our portfolio reinforces our leadership position in this segment. We want this space to have high quality standards that respect three pillars: wellness, flexibility and technology. One of our first steps will be to implement a hospitality programme inspired by hotel service standards, providing a unique work environment experience and excellent service to users.’
Vasco Fonseca, COO of FVC Group, added: ‘The WTC's level of excellence is expressed not only in the building itself but also in the services provided. We share this ambition with the CBRE team. A partnership that extends to other projects of the group and that here offers us a challenge of constant innovation, an example of which is the host app, one of many disruptions that we will bring to the office market in Portugal.’
The property will feature numerous sustainable initiatives, thus obtaining the LEED Gold and the WELL Gold certifications.
Rolling out for the first time in Portugal, the Host App will allow users to engage in events as well as exclusive WTC activities.
Besides providing access to a variety of free amenities such as phone chargers and umbrellas, the app will also enable users to book daily services such as car clean, laundry and food deliveries.
The WTC Lisboa will also have exercise gear, vending machines with a variety of healthy food options and flexible workstations featuring the latest technology, allowing users to connect from anywhere in the complex.
