CBRE Group Inc is the only commercial real estate firm to make a list of the best employers for women, compiled by Forbes from US market research generated by Statista.
More than 1,200 companies in the US with a minimum of 1,000 employees were evaluated.
'Women are a driving force in the success of CBRE,' said Darcy Mackay, chief human resources officer.
'We hope this recognition from our employees will encourage many more women to consider a career in commercial real estate, and we’re proud to be leading the way,' Mackay added.
According to Forbes, participants in the survey were asked about pay equality, parental leave, discrimination, representation and many other topics related to women in the workforce. Women's responses were weighted more heavily than male participants.
The CBRE women's network was formed in 2000 and has more than 4,000 members from all levels of the organisation, the company's three global regions and every business line. CBRE said that the four principles that guide the women’s network are growth, connection, mentorship and advocacy.
