CBRE is hoping to drum up interest in the sale of 4-star Hotel Milano Scala, a boutique hotel at Via dell'Orso 7 in Milan, which goes on the market in January and could be turned into a 5-star property.
The property services firm said it was tranformed into a hotel in 2010 and has strong ESG credentials, with many practices and certificates in place, on which CBRE’s ESG & Sustainability team in Italy is actively working on.
The asset is a class A energy building and is known for using geo-thermal energy in order to be considered a zero-impact structure, cementing its position as one of just a few properties in Italy that has gained worldwide recognition and commendation.
It has further growth potential via an upgrade of the current hotel layout. Due to its strategic location in the heart of Milan historical city centre and considering the existing and upcoming ultra-luxury hotel pipeline in the micro location, the Hotel Milano Scala has the potential to be upgraded to a 5-star luxury hotel, remodelling the current room mix and adding additional features, such as a spa.
