CBRE IM has appointed Rocio Oriol to oversee investments in global infrastructure assets and funds.
As a senior director in the Global Indirect Private Infrastructure team, London-based Oriol will report to Lee Anderson, head of Indirect Private Infrastructure.
She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role at AltamarCAM Partners, where she co-founded the infrastructure investment team and spearheaded their strategy across various investment types. Prior to that, she originated and executed direct investments at Infracapital.
At CBRE IM, Oriol will focus on sourcing, due diligence, closing and managing global indirect infrastructure investments, leading the screening and evaluation of new funds, co-investment, secondary and minority direct investment opportunities.
While ensuring these opportunities align with CBRE IM's infrastructure investment goals, she will also work closely with partners to maximize the performance of existing infrastructure investments.
Andreas Köttering, head of Europe Private Infrastructure at CBRE IM, said: ‘Rocio brings invaluable experience as we continue to manage and build diversified portfolios of infrastructure assets via funds and joint ventures that deliver resilient long-term low-risk returns for our clients. From analysing investment opportunities to overseeing the successful running of our global portfolios, she will work with colleagues across the business as we look to achieve our objectives and take advantage of attractive infrastructure investment opportunities.”’
