Global real estate advisor CBRE has appointed Andrew Hulme as an executive director within its UK investment properties team.
Hulme has considerable experience in the retail sector, having been made an equity partner at Strutt & Parker when he was 32, then most recently at BNP Paribas Real Estate where he ran the retail and alternatives teams.
He began his career at CBRE, focusing on the retail occupier market before specialising in retail warehouse investment and out-of-town retail.
Phil Cann, head of UK retail investment properties, CBRE said: 'We recognise the significant changes brought upon the retail sector over the past few years and now more than ever, clients need considered advice as they continue to adapt and evolve.
'Andrew is a well-known figure within the industry with exceptional client relationships and will bring extensive retail expertise that will allow us to further strengthen our team of over 100 retail experts.'
In his new role, Hulme will focus on all aspects of retail investment with a focus on delivering experienced advice amidst the ongoing repositioning of the sector.
He will lead the UK retail investment team alongside Phil Cann, with an emphasis on out-of-town retail with Cann continuing to lead on London retail investment. Andrew’s hire follows the appointment of Nick Sewell as an executive director in the team in 2020.
