Global real estate advisor CBRE has appointed Graeme Rutter as executive director and head of investment advisory, part of CBRE capital advisors.

Rutter is joining CBRE from Schroder Real Estate Investment Management where he was head of its real estate capital partners division. Prior to Schroder, where he has been for the last 13 years, he was at Aviva and Savills.

Rutter will report to Richard Dakin, managing director and global head of capital advisors. He will succeed Tony Martin in the role, who will take on a new position as chairman of CBRE’s investment advisory team.

CBRE’s investment advisory team has advised on more than £1 bn (€1.2 bn) of lending and currently has over £2.3 bn of assets under advice and . Additionally, the team manages a number of regional impact funds.
