The Amsterdam-based professional will be responsible for further developing and delivering the firm’s TMT sector strategy across the region, which is spearheaded by CBRE’s Head of TMT for UK and Europe, Mike Gedye. She will work alongside country management teams as well as global and regional industry specialists across the region to further elevate CBRE’s position as the market leader for Advisory and Transaction services.

Normal-Walker joins from Uber, where she has led commercial real estate services for its EMEA business since 2019. She brings more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and has a proven track record of managing portfolios of both leased and owned properties, alongside financial modelling, change management and workplace strategy.

She said: ‘Real estate decision-making has become a boardroom mainstay for many organisations as they consider enhanced cost management whilst recognising that offices, in particular, now play a key role in the employee value proposition.’

‘This is particularly prevalent in sectors where the war for talent continues to be highly competitive.’

Einar Schiefloe, head of occupier services, Continental Europe at CBRE said: ‘Belinda brings substantial client-side experience, giving her the ability to truly understand the evolving real estate needs for tech, media and telecoms companies.’
