CBRE Global Investors has promoted Bas Tiemstra to the newly created role of director of investment operations EMEA.

In his new role, Tiemstra will have overall responsibility for the EMEA investment operations, including asset management, with a focus on standardizing best practices and driving investment performance at the asset level.

Prior to that he worked for ASR Real Estate Investment Management where he was managing director commercial real estate and fund director for the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund.

Separately, Jirka Lhotak has been appointed CFO EMEA, with responsibility for financial operations for the region. Lohtak joined CBRE Global Investors (then ING Real Estate Investment Management) in 2006, taking responsibility for finance across the Central and Eastern European region.

He replaces Dennis Van Vugt who has decided to step down from his position as CFO/COO EMEA as of 1 August.  Lhotak has been CFO of the CBRE European Shopping Centre Funds and the retail portfolio across EMEA since 2012.
