Los Angeles-headquartered global property firm CBRE Global Investors has created a new role for an established real estate figure as part of the firm’s initiative to capture allocations to real estate and infrastructure, the two largest real assets categories.
Elisabeth (Liz) Troni has been hired as global portfolio strategist in the company’s global real assets solutions group.
A spokesperson said she would work with Jeremy Plummer as Global CIO and Bernie McNamara as global co-head of investor services and solutions, together with European-based client account managers.
The appointment is part of the company’s initiative to capture investor allocations to real estate and infrastructure and to put into place a ‘more holistic’ real assets solutions offering to meet investors’ specific objectives and preferences, explained the spokesperson.
Plummer said in a statement, ‘Liz will coordinate closely with our research, investment strategy and execution, and client engagement teams to help investors determine the right mix and implementation of strategies to meet their objectives.’
CBRE GI has $107 bn of real assets under management, counting its direct real estate teams, CBRE Global Investment Partners, CBRE Caledon infrastructure and the CBRE Clarion listed real assets business.
Troni is the former head of EMEA research and insight at Cushman & Wakefield, serving on the firm’s EMEA executive leadership team. Over a 20-plus year career, she has also served as a global portfolio strategist for Aberdeen Asset Management and UBS Global Asset Management.
