Belgian developer Iret Development has sold Charleroi shopping centre Rive Gauche to CBRE Global Investors for €300 mln, according to a report in Belgian daily De Tijd.
The 39,000 m2 shopping centre opened in February 2017 with 90 stores, a four-star hotel, restaurants, apartments and underground parking.
'Rive Gauche had a fantastic first year,' said Ingrid Ceusters, CEO of shopping centre manager Hugo Ceusters-SCMS. 'It attracted 650,000 visitors per month on average.'
Last year, Hugo Ceusters-SCMS acquired Devimo Consult, a subsidiary of the AG Real Estate Group. The two companies now jointly manage the centre.
Rive Gauche was a finalist in this year's MIPIM Awards, in the category of Best European Shopping Centre.
