Global real estate advisor CBRE has appointed Martin Thom as its new head of hotel valuations, Europe, effective immediately.
Thom has been at CBRE since 2006 and has held several roles spanning multiple markets across Europe. He is a RICS registered valuer with more than 20 years of experience in real estate valuation, including 15 years specifically in hotel valuations.
He is currently the head of hotel valuations in Germany, and in his expanded role will oversee the firm’s European hotel valuations business and will lead the co-ordination of cross-border portfolio valuations in the sector.
He will continue to report to Alexander von Erdely, CEO, Advisory Services, CBRE in Germany, and with respect to the European component of the role will report to Mark Fidler, head of valuation advisory, Continental Europe.
