Agent CBRE has announced the appointment of François-Régis de Causans as head of Industrial & Logistics (I&L) Investment Properties in France.
He will succeed François Le Levier who has been appointed as managing director Industrial & Logistics last April.
Based in London for the past six years, De Causans benefits from a I&L Investment Properties experience across EMEA. He began his career at ING Real Estate Investment Management, now CBRE Global Investors. After being a senior transaction manager in Paris from 2007 to 2013, he joined Amsterdam to manage the EMEA activity. After several years abroad, he has now joined CBRE France in Paris as head of Investment Properties I&L and will be leading a team of 12 people. He will be in charge of further developing the department in France, while keeping his European transactional role.
His arrival is in line with CBRE's strong ambitions for this market segment, which benefits from a strong market dynamic with investors looking for opportunities in an under-supplied environment. The market recorded more than €2 bn in transactions in H1 2021 in France. With its attractiveness reinforced by the rise of e-commerce, urban logistics and data centres in particular, CBRE anticipates that the overall volume of transactions in 2021 will be higher than in 2020, at more than €5 bn.
'Covid has accelerated a trend that was already underway by making logistics a key asset class. We expect investments to double in the next 10 years. In this very competitive environment, I will be keen to help all our clients to detect the best opportunities and to provide them with a global vision of the markets and their upcoming challenges,' said François-Régis de Causans.
