Agent CBRE has announced the appointment of Colin Waddell as new managing director of its Finnish arm with effect from 1 September.
He will take over from Joni Koski, who is stepping down from this role after five years of running the business.
Waddell joined CBRE in 2000 and spent 15 years in Central Europe, where he established CBRE’s Czech and Polish businesses. He subsequently returned to the UK in 2015 and most recently led the UK property tax/rating team.
'Colin’s significant experience in different markets and with growing businesses means that he is ideally positioned to step into the role and to help take the business through its next stage of development,' said Marco Hekman, managing director Continental Europe for CBRE. 'Colin and Joni will work together and with the management team to ensure an orderly handover of responsibilities.'
Joni Koski added: 'During the past five years, I have been lucky enough to work with the best colleagues in transforming a small, ten employee office into a vibrant 100 person office and growing our business tenfold in this period. As our business continues to grow and diversify, I see this as the right time to step down from the role of managing director and let Colin continue to lead us towards becoming a world class company.'
