CB Richard Ellis said it has appointed Morten Fossum to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its rapidly expanding Nordics business. The appointment represents another building block in the strategic development of the company's Nordics platform after the opening of a CBRE office in Helsinki, Finland in June.
Morten joins CBRE from Swedish property development specialist, JM AB, where he established and headed up the company's Danish subsidiary, JM Danmark A/S. He has over 25 years experience in commercial real estate particularly regarding operational requirements of the Nordics' four distinct property markets.
Henrik Cederholm, chairman of CBRE Nordics, said: 'While the Nordic economies have inevitably felt the impact of the downturn, healthy underlying market fundamentals in cities such as Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen mean that the region continues to be of strategic interest to our clients.'
Prior to JM Danmark A/S, Morten was property manager at Danica Ejendomme. He will be based in CBRE's Copenhagen office. CBRE has wholly-owned offices in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, together with a long-term affiliate office in Norway.
