Vezyridis will lead the pan-EMEA and UK research programme in both the retail and logistics property markets.

Rhodri Davies, head of UK retail for CBRE, said: ’This new post reflects increasing collaboration between CBRE’s retail and logistics business lines, ensuring that clients receive seamless advice in a world where the lines between these two real estate uses are increasingly blurred. Consumer, retailer and distributor behaviour is changing fast, and Tasos’s appointment will ensure we are providing world class data and analysis to support increasingly complex client decisions.’

Vezyridis is currently group research director at Landsec, the largest commercial property development and investment company in the UK, where he leads the group research function. Previously, he held other positions in Landsec’s retail team. Prior to joining Landsec in 2013, he was assistant vice president in Barclays Capital’s global corporate real estate division for five years.

’This new role presents an exciting opportunity for me to produce world class thought leadership and analysis for our clients, building on my client-side experience at Landsec and Barclays,’ said Vezyridis.

Vezyridis will join CBRE in late November, and will report to Miles Gibson, head of UK research.

’I am delighted to welcome Tasos to CBRE from Landsec, where Tasos has been instrumental in informing Landsec’s strategy over the last five years,’ said Gibson. ’This new post brings together previously separate research roles covering retail and industrial property respectively – a first for real estate property research in the UK.’
