CBRE has announced the promotion of Andy Hay to the new role of managing director of property and asset management for Europe, Middle East and Africa, while colleague Richard Williams has been named as UK managing director of Property and Asset Management.

Hay has been with CBRE since 2006, during which time he has led the company's UK Asset Management business. He will now be responsible for further developing CBRE's cross-border asset management services, with a focus on clients and opportunities across the EMEA region.

Williams has been appointed to oversee all of CBRE's property and asset management services across the UK. He is joined by David King, recently recruited from Capita Symonds, who as executive director of UK Property and Asset Management will manage the extension of CBRE's existing UK client relationships.

CBRE currently manages 140 million sq ft of commercial space in the UK.
