Foodhills Fastighets, a company partly owned by listed property company Catena, has sold a property in Bjuv, Sweden, to an unnamed international investor.
The sale was completed for an underlying property value of SEK 645 mln (€56 mln) before deferred taxes.
The property, known as Bjuv 23:6, covers 149,669 m2 of land and features a modern logistics facility with refrigerated storage built in 2022. This 27,425 ?2 facility is fully leased to meal kit company Hello Fresh, with a lease agreement extending to 2032.
Catena has been a 45% owner of Foodhills Fastighet since 2018. In that year, Foodhills acquired a large property complex in Bjuv from food company Findus. This property, once home to Findus' headquarters and production, consists of multiple buildings totaling about 100,000 m2 and was built between 1940 and 1998.
Catena's CEO Jörgen Eriksson commented: ‘By divesting the Hello Fresh facility, we're highlighting the value that we, together with our partners in Foodhills Fastighet, have built up over the years.’
