Stockholm-based Catella has reported a transaction volume of EUR 6.8 bn in 2011 for its real estate advisory business, up 9.3% on the volume booked in 2010.

Stockholm-based Catella has reported a transaction volume of EUR 6.8 bn in 2011 for its real estate advisory business, up 9.3% on the volume booked in 2010.

The largest transactions include the sale by DNB bank of Sannergata 2 in Oslo to Pareto Project Finance for EUR 82 mln; the acquisition and financing, on behalf of a consortium, of building rights to the UN's head office in Copenhagen; the sale-and-leaseback of Eroski retail properties to Axa Real Estate in Spain; and, in Sweden, the largest-ever property foreclosure auction in the sale of the Kefren portfolio.

Catella also advised on the new share issue in connection with the acquisition by Dios Fastigheter of the Norvidden property company for EUR 628 mln. This was the largest real estate transaction in Sweden last year.
