Catella has acted as advisor in the creation of Swedish property company Hemfosa Fastigheter and its capital raising of SEK 1.6 bn (EUR 157 mln).

Hemfosa Fastigheter is a newly created opportunistic property company with a strategy to take advantage of the opportunities of a changing property market. The company was founded by a team led by Jens Engwall, a former CEO of Kungsleden, with a solid background from transaction intensive and value creating property companies.

Hemfosa is owned by Nordic institutional investors and the company management.

Recently, GPT Halverton divested seven properties totalling 63,000 m2 to Hemfosa. All the assets came from GPT Halverton's Fund I in Sweden. Following the transaction only two properties remain in GPT Halverton's Swedish portfolio, one in Svalöv and one in Gothenburg.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Catella acted as advisor to the seller.
