A full-service facility in Gothenburg developed by Castellum AB's subsidiary Eklandia Fastighets for and together with Toyota has been assigned Sweden's first BREEAM certification. Castellum's real estate portfolio now comprises 74 properties with a Green Building classification.

BREEAM is an environmental certification of properties with a holistic approach to sustainability through criteria for global aspects, resource management, building materials and energy use. The certification is carried out and verified by an independent third party by the UK environmental organization BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method).

Castellum's subsidiaries Fastighets AB Brostaden and Harry Sjögren AB are the first and third companies in Europe respectively that the EU has assigned as Green Building Corporate Partner. To qualify for Green Building Corporate Partnership, energy consumption must be reduced by at least 25% in at least 30% of the real estate portfolio.

Castellum is one of the major listed real estate companies in Sweden. The fair value of the real estate portfolio amounts to SEK 29 bn (EUR 2.8 bn), and comprises premises for office, retail, warehouse and industrial purposes.
