Castellum has acquired nine properties in the western Swedish port city of Halmstad.
Acting through its wholly owned subsidiary Harry Sjögren, the Stockholm-listed real estate company acquired the properties in the campus area in Halmstad for SEK 645 mln (€73 mln).
The acquisition includes the Trade Center, the highest building in Halmstad and the highest building between Malmö and Gothenburg.
The largest tenant in the portfolio is Halmstad University, which was established in 1983 and has 10,000 students and 600 employees.
The acquired property portfolio has an occupancy rate of 95% and consists of 43,500 m2 of which 30,850 m2 is office premises while the rest is devoted to retail and education facilities, a warehouse and library.
The transaction doubles Castellum's property portfolio in Halmstad from 35,000 m2 to 78,500 m2.
