Swedish property developer Castellum said on Thursday that a number of its subsidiaries had invested a total of SEK 768 mln (EUR 81.6 mln) in commercial properties and committed to new construction, extensions and refurbishment estimated at SEK 182 mln (EUR 19.4 mln).

The acquisitions include nine properties in central Orebro, with lettable space of around 49,500 m2. Castellum unit Aspholmen has also started work in Vasteras on an existing office property, with projected total lettable space of 2,100 m2. Fastighets AB Brostaden has started construction of a full-service facility for the sale and service of cars located in Smista Allé, Stockholm, with 4,500 m2 of lettable space. The Castellum unit has also started a new construction project for a 100-car parking facility in the city.

Another unit, Harry Sjogren, has acquired a fully let industrial property of 3,000 m2 with 700 m2 of office space in the Hogsbo industrial area of Gothenburg, plus 5,300 m2 of mixed industrial and office space in Alingsas. Other acquisitions include two modern industrial properties in Varnamo and two industrial and warehouse properties in the Haga industrial district of Jonkoping, Castellum said
