Cruise giant Carnival Corporation has signed a letter of intent to purchase land in the Dutch city of Almere, with plans to build a state-of-the-art Carnival Campus and Center of Excellence.

The company has mandated Dutch property group Amvest Vastgoed in Holland for the purchase of a seven-acre property along the coast of the Netherlands in Duin, a planned business and residential community in Almere, on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

'We are very pleased to have the Carnival facilities as the first anchor in Duin, our 250-acre development on Almere’s lake shore,' added Amvest Vastgoed CEO Wienke Bodewes.

'Carnival is a great partner with our city, and we are excited to continue growing the relationship between Carnival and the city of Almere,' said Almere Alderman Henk Mulder.

Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Carnival Corporation as their real estate adviser.
