The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm, has completed the renovation of an office and retail complex located in the seventh district in Paris. The complex comprises three architecturally significant buildings from different periods.
The buildings have been redeveloped by Carlyle Real Estate Advisors France.
The project encompassed the redevelopment of 12,600 m2 of office space, including the Hôtel de Livry, as well as the creation of 3,400 m2 of retail space in the basement, and on the ground and first floors of the buildings. Additionally, the company has restored the Hôtel de La Salle, a distinctive private home from the XVII century which is listed as a historic monument. The building offers 1,600 m2 of office space.
The renovated shops are already let to a range of retailers including Monoprix, B&B Italia, Poliform, Eric Bompard and Poltrona Frau.
Carlyle is also teaming up with the French retail specialist Mercialys to launch a bid for the Cap 3000 shopping centre in Nice. In January it acquired two mixed-use residential/retail buildings in Paris which were part of the EUR 231 mln Maheu portfolio.
